Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Today’s discussion is about achieving your greatest potential. As you already know, each of us has great potential. The question is: How to achieve our greatest potential. Okay, let’s start the discussion. What do you think is the way to achieve your greatest potential?
I think that’s an interesting topic of discussion. When you talk about “Achieving Your Greatest Potential” what’s come into my mind is: How can we know our greatest potential? Is it the greatest potential according to us who know very little about ourselves, or is it the greatest potential as God has in mind since the beginning of the creation. I’m talking about the the human dimension and the spiritual dimension. I think that’s two different things and therefore must be differentiated. As a human being, we tend to define achieving our greatest potential through material perspective such as: what we have or don’t have, how we look, the social status, the job or career. But, from the spiritual point of view, we will look at things in different ways. All of those that we have are only temporally. All of us will be going to our eternal home. And therefore, looking at achieving the greatest potential only through temporally perspective is not complete. We must also look the spiritual dimension to better understand our situation as a human being who live only temporally on earth.
Yes, that’s a great idea. We all need to think, speak, and act in balanced way. By understanding the balance, we can make appropriate decision. If we understand how to balance our life, that is fulfilling both the human and spiritual dimension of our incredible potential, then we can better address what’s matter most in life and act accordingly. Now what do you think about the act of balancing these roles?
I think, to achieve the balance , we need to understand the main dimensions of our life. I think there are 3 dimensions of life: spiritual, social, and material. These three dimensions must be address in a balanced way so that we can make appropriate decision things that really matter most spiritual, socially, and physically. The spiritual dimension is about our relationship with God the creator. The spiritual dimension is about how we relate with fellow humans. And the social dimension is about how we relate with ourselves, our family, and the society in general. When we talk about how we relate with ourselves we are actually talking about how we should govern what we think, speak and do. And physical dimension is about how to have healthy body, creating and living in uplifting living environment, and also about money as tools of value exchange.
That’s great perspective about human dimensions. Balancing between those three needs is crucial. I think we must do whatever it takes to succeed spiritually, socially, and physically. Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your participation in this discussion. Our next subject of discussion will be about “How to Live a Happy and Fulfilling Life”.
